Apsaras meet Greek Goddesses

TC-101.jpg

There is always something magical and mystical about Gods.

And the land of Gods.

Mount Pelion was the homeland of Centaurs, the mythical creatures half-men and half-horse and the region where the Olympian Gods had chosen for their summer holidays.

Ancient Greek Myths occur for the most part in real landscapes. In Volos (ancient Iolcus) and the Pelion peninsula, the myths take place around the port and the mountain itself. They do not only deal with heroic deeds and mortality versus immortality, but also education, wisdom, persistence.

When in Bali , I discovered Apsaras.

Apsara , a mythical Hindu water nymph, is the embodiment of elegance , grace and beauty. Said to represent the arts, Apsaras are often considered as contemporaries of the Muses of Ancient Greece.

Apsaras manifest in various forms in India and also in Bali, where they are known as Bidadari. Variously referred to as the feminine spirit , these celestial beings are said to change their shape at will and can bring the downfall of vainglorious men.

Apsaras meet Athena, Aphrodite and Hera in Pelion mountain in Peliva Suites and embody the Elements.

A yoga retreat dedicated to the feminine uniqueness.

Earth , Water , Fire , Air , Space .

A Goddess is grounded and stable like the Earth.

A Goddess can chase and escape easily like Water.

A Goddess can burn the impurities and light up the sparkle of a new dream.

A Goddess is omnipresent and transparent like the Air.

A Goddess is limitless and fearless like Space.

Embody the Elements in Peliva.

Explore the land of myths

Where

Built in a privileged location in the southern part of Pelion, in an old olive grove with an unparalleled view of the Pagasitic Gulf, Peliva Nature & Suites offers a high quality place to escape, relax and stay.

The three suites, Hera, Athena and Aphrodite, borrowed their names from the three goddesses of mythology, each claiming a uniqueness through the beauty, the power and the nature’s wisdom.

History

On mount Pelion, near Chiron's cave, the marriage of Thetis and Peleus took place. The uninvited goddess Eris, brought a golden apple with the Inscription "To the fairest". The dispute that then arose between the goddesses Hera, Aphrodite and Athena resulted in events leading to the trojan war.
